Important additional notes:<\/strong>
This short shifter is designed to work with the original shift cables of several transmissions, BUT cables have to be rerouted to go through the interior of the car.
This works great for race cars without interiors, as the hole in the tunnel can be closed and cables are much safer inside the car.
It\u2019s a perfect fit for all 02M \/ 02Q \/ 02J transmissions, whether they\u2019re 5-speed or 6-speed cable-operated models.
If your cable ends are the SAME diameter \u2013 this will work.
If your cables are two different sizes \u2013 you need another model suitable for 02A and early 02J transmissions, which we also have.<\/p>\n
