SPD Fuel Pulse Damper AN8

The fuel pulse damper is used in fuel systems to reduce pressure pulses that occur when running large fuel injectors, high-flow fuel pumps, and rigid fuel lines such as PTFE or braided steel hoses. This results in a much smoother and more stable fuel pressure throughout the entire operating range.

SPD’s fuel pulse damper significantly reduces and smooths out the pressure fluctuations that are common in high-flow, high-performance fuel systems. The result is a smoother-running engine and easier tuning — especially at idle and in the lower RPM range, though the benefits can be felt across the entire rev range.

Easy installation with no vacuum lines required. The fuel pulse damper is connected directly to the fuel rail or positioned after the rail. It can also be mounted remotely using a short section of fuel hose if space is limited.
