Important additional notes:

This short shifter is designed to work with the original shift cables of several transmissions, BUT cables have to be rerouted to go through the interior of the car. This works great for race cars without interior, as the hole in the tunnel can be closed and the cables are much safer inside the car. It’s a perfect fit for all 02A and 02J early transmissions, whether they’re 5-speed or 6-speed cable-operated models. If your cable ends are different diameters – this will work. If your cables are two identical sizes – you need another model suitable for 02J/02M/02Q transmissions, which we also have.
